Q.- Where do I find Missouri CCW requirements / rules / law?

A.- You may find the law in Missouri Statue Chapter 571 RsMO

Q.- What training do I need?

A.- Missouri residents must attend an handgun safety training and qualification class. This class may be taken anywhere, but your instructor must be approved for the Missouri county in which you live.

Q.- How long is the class?

A.- Missouri statue requires the class to be at least eight (8) hours in length

Q.- What does the class consist of?

A.- The classroom portion of the course will consist of about five (5) hours and will cover basic handgun safety, handgun loading/unloading, principles of handgun marksmanship, marksmanship with both revolver and semi-automatic, handgun care/cleaning, safe handgun storage, handgun qualification test on B-27 target. The range portion of the class will consist of about three (3) hours.

Q.- How old do I have to be to get my CCW?

A.- Missouri law requires you to be 23 years old at time of application

Q.- How much will my ccw cost?

A.- After the cost of your handgun safety training, your local sheriff's department may charge you up to $100.00 for the costs associated with background checks. You then will have to pay the appropriate fee at the Missouri License Bureau, usually around $11.00.
