Steven Adams

Steven Adams draws upon a extensive background in Police, Corrections, and Private Security personal combat training. Steve has trained thousands of officers/civilians over the course of his lifetime.

Steve served 13 years as a police officer/field training officer, earning numerous commendations including the Law Enforcement Silver Star for a lethal force incident and the prestigious Law Enforcement Purple Heart for a serious injury sustained during a combat incident on duty. Steve was forced to retire from public service due to his injury, at the rank of Detective.

Steve then served 2 years in corrections/fugitive apprehension, learning valuable knowledge about criminal combat inside jails and prisons.

In 2005 Steve founded Midwest Defense, a personal defense consulting group. Using his previous training and real life experience, and techniques learned in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Instructor Development School, Steve offers a unique environment for learning personal protection.Steve is a National Rifle Association (NRA) Certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, as well as a Certified Self-Defense instructor.

Steve offers consults in the area of structural physical security, as he is also a certified locksmith.
